HammyHome saves your hamster and cage settings using your browser's local database (IndexedDB). This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Because we do not use accounts or cloud syncing, there is no automatic backup. If you want to save your progress or move your data to another device:
Important: Resetting your browser data or clearing your cache will delete all your local hamsters and homes. We recommend saving your shared links (e.g., in a notes app or by emailing them to yourself) to keep your setups long-term.
HammyHome does not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or any form of cross-site tracking.
Since we collect no personal information for analytics, there is no data of yours to lose or expose in that context. Your hamster settings remain only on your own device.
